orgone energy

i am interested in objects and machinery that are useless or unworkable. theres something poetic about an object that has been invented and worked on for years with passion, but has no proven physical use. the orgone accumulator is a perfect example. the fact that one man has given his life away to this one imaginative thing fascinates me

a door that never fully shuts, never fully opens

a fascination with doors, and how symbolic a door is whether it is closed or open.

how in a film, the sound of a door clicking to be locked or unlocked changes the whole scene and atmosphere, it can create a feeling of both imprisonment or freedom.

this photograph shows a door which if you shut one side, it will be open the other and vice-versa. your feelings towards it are unbalanced which makes it frustrating and uncomfortable to view.

plays with your mind!

51 freed after drawbridge collapses at castle

reading the news story there was something archaic and fairytale-like about the wording and the whole situation. it included words such as
"freed after being trapped"
"The custodian kept those stranded entertained with sword-fighting"
i found this really exciting until i watched the video which accompanied it, which just made it seem very ordinary and mundane!
